Looking for a San Diego and Temecula wedding photographer who keeps the day calm and the photos honest?

That’s exactly how I work. I’m Zeus — one photographer, start to finish,

documenting your wedding the way it actually feels instead of staging it into something it

isn’t. Coastal San Diego ceremony or Temecula wine country celebration, the approach is

the same: be present, read the moment, and capture the real thing.

The Experience

One photographer, beginning to end. When you book me, you get me — not an associate,

not a hand-off the week of your wedding. I’m the person you email, plan with, and see

behind the camera on the day. That consistency is the whole point.

Calm direction, real emotion. Most couples feel awkward in front of a lens, and that’s

normal.

I give clear, low-pressure direction when you need it and step back when the

moment should speak for itself. The result feels like you — not a pose you’ll cringe at later.

Cinematic, true-to-life edits. My style is editorial and a little cinematic, with color that’s

honest to the day. No heavy filters that’ll look dated in five years. These are images meant

to bring you right back to how it felt.

Where I Photograph Weddings

I’m based in the San Diego / Temecula corridor and photograph weddings across

Southern California.

In San Diego, I’ve shot everywhere from the historic tall ships of the Maritime Museum to

coastal venues and downtown landmarks — it’s home turf, and I know how the light moves here.

In Temecula wine country, I’m available for vineyard weddings throughout the valley and

would love to shoot at venues like Ponte Winery, Wilson Creek, Europa Village, and the

wineries that make this one of the most beautiful regions in the state to get married.

If you’re planning a Temecula wedding, let’s talk — I travel throughout the valley, and I’m

building my wine country work intentionally, which means you get a photographer who’s

genuinely excited to be there.

Getting married somewhere else in Southern California? I’m always glad to travel.

Temecula Weddings

Temecula wine country is one of Southern California's most beautiful places to get married. Golden-hour light through the vines, open skies, and venues that feel a world away from the city. I travel throughout the valley and would love to be your photographer there. [See my Temecula coverage →]

Timeline help and planning support

Great wedding photography starts long before the wedding day itself. As a San Diego wedding photographer, I help couples with timeline guidance, lighting considerations, portrait planning, and building space into the day so nothing feels rushed or chaotic. The goal is simple: create room for real moments while making sure your photos get the time they deserve.

Whether you already have a planner or you’re putting the day together piece by piece, I’m here to help you think through what photographs beautifully, what keeps the day flowing naturally, and how to protect the experience while still getting everything you want. I want you to feel taken care of, not overwhelmed. When a wedding timeline is built with intention, everything feels smoother. You get to stay present, enjoy the people around you, and trust that your story is unfolding exactly the way it should. As a San Diego wedding photographer with a documentary approach and an editorial eye, I’m always thinking about how to make the day feel good and photograph beautifully at the same time.

" Booking Zeus was hands-down the best decision we made for our small wedding. He's on top of everything but never stuffy about it — and the part I was dreading most, the group photos? He turned it into the most fun stretch of the whole day. Everyone was laughing, nobody felt stiff or posed, and the pictures came out looking exactly like us. If you want someone who actually captures the joy and not just the poses, he's your guy"

"This is my second wedding, and I'm so glad Bob found Zeus.

He made it fun and captured our wedding and our relationship beautifully!

The Album he set up was worth it."

F.A.Q.

What makes working with one photographer different?

Working with one photographer means a more consistent, intentional, and personal experience from start to finish. It’s one perspective, one creative vision, and someone who’s there to tell your entire story. One photographer. One vision. Your entire story.

How would you describe your style?

My style blends documentary storytelling with editorial portraiture, creating images that feel honest, intentional, emotional, and elevated.

Do you photograph surprise proposals?

Definitely. These are so much fun, and they’re some of my favorite moments to capture. I’ve photographed surprise proposals in La Jolla, Oceanside, and Coronado, and I can help you figure out the best location, the best timing, and how to handle the moment so it all comes together naturally.

Do you travel for weddings and elopements?

Yes — I’m available for travel weddings and elopements. Travel outside of the San Diego area may add to the overall cost depending on the location, coverage, and logistics. I’ve photographed outside my local area, including Chicago and Los Angeles, and I’m always excited for the chance to document love stories in new places. I’m also hoping to have one coming up soon in Upstate New York.

What are the best locations for engagement photos in San Diego?

Some clients already have a location picked out, and if it’s a surprise, I’d love to walk it with you beforehand. If the proposal has already happened, Point Loma is always a great, quiet spot. Balboa Park has some beautiful, hidden-away areas that always photograph well. My favorite spot of all is the Japanese Friendship Garden. Between the flowers, bridges, waterfalls, and the way everything feels tucked away, it gives you endless romance in every shot.

Do you help with timelines?

Definitely. If you have a coordinator, I’ll work with them to make sure everything flows well and all the important photos get taken without the day feeling rushed. We can build out a shot list, plan ahead, and make sure your vision actually comes to life.
