I'm Zeus, a wedding and engagement photographer based in San Diego.


I've been doing this for a while now, and I figured it was time to actually write something here instead of just letting the photos do all the talking.


So here's a quick rundown of who I am, how I work, and what you can expect if we end up shooting together.


I shoot weddings differently.

I'm not the photographer who blends into the wall and hopes for the best. I'm also not the one barking directions and making everyone feel like they're at a DMV appointment.


What I actually do is show up, get to know your people, and move through your day like I belong there. By the time the ceremony starts, most couples tell me they forgot I was working. A priest once called me a photo ninja. I'll take it.


The result is photos that feel like your day actually felt — not posed, not stiff, not performed.

Why small and intimate weddings are my thing.


There's a different energy at a smaller wedding. People are actually present. The moments are real. Nobody's performing for a crowd of 300 — they're just celebrating, and that's exactly when the best photos happen.


San Diego is perfect for this. Whether it's a ceremony at Sunset Cliffs with the Pacific behind you, something tucked away in Balboa Park, or a sailing ship wedding at the Maritime Museum — this city has backdrops that do half the work for me.

Engagement sessions: why they matter more than you think.


Engagement sessions aren't just about getting pretty photos before the wedding. They're how we figure each other out.


I learn how you two move together, what makes you laugh, and how to get you looking natural in front of a camera. You learn that I'm not going to make this weird. By the time your wedding day comes around, we're already comfortable — and it shows in the photos.


Some of my favorite spots for engagement sessions in San Diego: the Japanese Friendship Garden, golden hour at La Jolla Cove, Torrey Pines at sunset, or honestly anywhere in Temecula wine country if you want something a little different.
